Valgkomiteen i Velferdstinget i Oslo og Akershus skal nå starte opp arbeidet med å se etter nye mennesker til mange ulike verv. Vi ser frem til en grundig prosess og vi håper mange ønsker å ta på seg verv i Velferdstinget. 

Til de av dere som allerede sitter i et verv dere ønsker gjenvalg til, bes det om at dere gir beskjed i god tid om dette. Vi vil også minne om at det er uforpliktende å komme på intervju med oss og at valgkomiteen jobber under taushetsplikt.

I Velferdstinget er det mange ulike verv man kan stille til. Noen av disse er lønnede verv. Disse vil være merket med en prosentsats. Alle styreverv er honorert.

Verv som innstilles av valgkomiteen:

Leder (100%)

Lederen er en person som har det totale ansvaret over Velferdstingets arbeidsutvalg og gjennomføringen av politikken som Velferdstinget bestemmer. Ansvaret ligger i å koordinere arbeidet innad slik at utvalget får iverksatt vedtakene som det er ønskelig å gjennomføre. Denne personen har også ansvaret med kontakten mellom arbeidsutvalget og sentralt ved SiO, samt kontakten med lederen av Hovedstyret. Leder er øverste økonomisk ansvarlige for Velferdstingets økonomi, og har arbeidsgiveransvar for sekretariatet. Leder er som oftest også Velferdstingets representant utad og ansikt i media.

Nestleder (100%)

Nestleder har mye av de samme arbeidsoppgavene som lederen har, og er stedfortreder når lederen ikke er tilgjengelig. Nestleder har ansvar for eventuelle komiteer og samarbeid med andre eksterne partnere.

Informasjonsansvarlig (100%)

Informasjonsansvarlig har ansvar for kontakt ut mot de forskjellige studentdemokratiene tilknyttet SiO, og har ansvar for å skolere demokratiene i Velferdstinget og SiO sitt virke. Informasjonsansvarlig har ansvar for å arrangere valgforsamling for de mindre institusjonene i Oslo og Akershus, samt ansvar for nettsider og sosiale medier. På mange måter er informasjonsansvarlig å anse som bindeleddet mellom Velferdstinget og de lokale studentdemokratiene.

Politisk rådgiver x2 (35%)

Politisk rådgiver har ansvar for samfunns- og politisk kontakt med alle aktuelle partere og/eller involverte. De skal også, i samarbeid med leder, drive med medieutspill som er i tråd med Velferdstingets bestemte politikk. De politiske rådgiverne har sammen ansvar for mye av påvirkningsarbeidet som skjer i Velferdstinget, for eksempel lobbyarbeid opp mot Oslo kommune og staten.

Profileringsansvarlig (35%)

Som Profileringsansvarlig har man ansvar for den generelle promoteringen til Velferdstinget. Dette betyr at profileringsansvarlig skal sørge for arrangementer og alt materiale som skal benyttes løpet av året. Det foregår kursing i grafisk design av profileringsansvarlig i starten av vervet.

Til vervene i Arbeidsutvalget kan det være en god idé å sjekke ut beskrivelsene i reglementet. Det finner du her.

Hovedstyret

På det konstituerende møte velges det fem studenter som skal representere studentmassen i hovedstyret. Fordelingen av personer i hovedstyret ser slik ut; 5 studenter, 2 ansatte og 3 representanter fra utdanningsinstitusjonene. For at studentene skal ha flertall i styret velger studentene styreleder, som har dobbeltstemme i vedtakssaker. Hovedstyret er det øverste organet i Studentsamskipnaden i Oslo og Akershus, og alle store endringer innenfor SiO må skje gjennom vedtak i styret.

Fordi SiO er et særlovselskap står Hovedstyret personlig økonomisk ansvarlige for SiO. Å sitte i Hovedstyret er det mest ansvarstunge vervet i både Velferdstinget og Studentsamskipnaden, og bør ikke tas lett på. Alle medlemmene i Hovedstyret får god skolering og oppfølging.

Medlemmene i hovedstyret konstituerer seg selv og fordeler studentrepresentasjon i SiOs forskjellige divisjoner/datterselskaper. Ettersom dette er egne datterselskaper er det viktig med god studentrepresentasjon i Urbanboligutleie, Boligstyre og Kaféstyret. Det skal velges to studentrepresentanter for to år, og ut av studentstyrerepresentantene skal det velges styreleder. Det skal også suppleres en plass for ett år i hovedstyret.

Urban boligutleie

Dette er et datterselskap som har i formål å utvikle, forvalte og leie ut boliger og forretningseiendom i det kommersielle markedet. Det langsiktige målet er å bidra til bedre velferdstilbud til studenter i Oslo og Akershus. I dette styret velges det inn en studentrepresentant fra Velferdstinget, og denne representanten sitter i to år. Det skal nå velges en representant for to år.

Mat og Drikke

Styret har ansvar for økonomi og den langsiktige strategien i SiO Mat og Drikke. Dette er en viktig del av Studentsamskipsnaden i Oslo kg Akershus fordi kost og ernæring spiller en viktig del i studentenes hverdag. SiO M&D skal alltid være den foretrukne leverandør for kjøkkentjenester til studentene, og som styremedlem skal du være med på å forme strategien for fremtiden. Det skal velges en representant som sitter for ett år.

Kontrollkomiteen

Kontrollkomiteen skal påse at arbeidsutvalget og Velferdstinget følger de vedtatte vedtekter og reglementer gjennom perioden. Kontrollkomiteen kan uttale seg om forhold knyttet til formalia o.l., og skal blant annet innstille på godkjenning av valg av representanter til Velferdstinget fra de lokale studentdemokratiene. Kontrollkomiteen vurderer spørsmål knyttet til habilitet, og har tolkningsrett i spørsmål knyttet til vedtekter og reglementer. De innstiller også på godkjenning av Velferdstingets regnskap. Komiteen består av tre medlemmer som skal velges.

Kulturstyreleder

Kulturstyrets leder skal blant annet; innkalle til møter i Kulturstyret i samarbeid med Kulturstyrets sekretariat, utarbeide innstillinger til alle søknader, utarbeide notater og vedtaksforslag til møtene angående aktuelle problemstillinger og saker Kulturstyret ønsker å følge opp, fungere som Kulturstyrets kontaktperson overfor media, lærestedene, SiO, Velferdstinget og andre, ha jevnlig kontakt med Velferdstingets Arbeidsutvalg og ha ansvaret for den daglige kontakt med sekretariatet og oppfølging av Kulturstyret.

Medlemmer til Kulturstyret x4

Kulturstyret behandler søknader om støtte fra studentforeninger i hele SiO. Totalt deler Kulturstyret ut nesten tre millioner kroner til studentmedier, foreninger og arrangementer. Kulturstyret har rundt 10 møter i året, blant annet et seminar ved starten av perioden. Å sitte i Kulturstyret gir innsikt i foreningsdrift på mange nivåer, fra bittesmå sosialforeninger til store medier og idrettsklubber. Det skal velges fire medlemmer til Kulturstyret i tillegg til Kulturstyreleder. (nevnt over) Disse blir valgt for to år. Det skal også velges varaer.

The Nomination Committee of the Welfare Council in Oslo and Akershus is now starting up work to look for new people to many different positions within Student Welfare Council. We look forward to a thorough process and we hope that many want to take on the duties of the Welfare Council.

To those of you who are already in a position and want to run for re-election, we request that you notify in good time about this. We would also remind you that there is no obligation to come forward to us and that the Nomination Committee working under total confidentiality.

In Student Welfare Council there is many different positions that is available. Some of these are paid positions. These will be marked with a percentage. All boards are honored.

Student comitee

Daily manager (100%)

The manager is a person who has the overall responsibility of the Welfare committee and the implementation of policy Welfare Council decides. Responsibility is to coordinate work within so that the sample is taken decisions which it is desirable to implement. This person is also responsible with the contact between the central committee and the SiO, as well as contact with the head of the Executive Board. Leader’s top financial administrator for the Welfare Economics, and employer responsibilities for the Secretariat. The head is usually too Welfare Representative outward and face in the media.

Acting manager (100%)

Acting has much of the same duties as the manager has, and is deputy when manager is not available. Agent is responsible for any committees and collaboration with other external partners.

Information Officer (100%)

Information Officer is responsible for contact with the different student democracies within SiO, and have the responsibility to educate democracies on the duties of Welfare Council and SiOs work. Information Officer is responsible for arranging the election meeting for the smaller institutions in Oslo and Akershus, as well as content for websites and social media. In many ways, the information officer regarded as the link between the Welfare Council and the local student democracies.

Political Advisor x2 (35%)

Political advisor is responsible for social and political contact with all relevant political parties. They shall also, in cooperation with the leader, conducting media initiatives that are in line with the Welfare particular policy. The political advisers, together responsible for a lot of advocacy work going on in the Welfare Council, such as lobbying against the Oslo municipality and the state.

Promoting manager (35%)

As Promoting Responsible you have the responsibility for the overall promotion of the Welfare Council. This means promoting responsible shall ensure events and all materials to be used during the year. You will receive training in graphic design at start of the appointment.

The Executive Board

At the constitutive meeting we elected five students to represent the student body in the Executive Board. The distribution of people in the main board looks like this; 5 students, 2 staff members and 3 representatives from educational institutions. For the students to have a majority on the board, students select chairman, who has a casting vote in the decision of cases. The Executive Board is the supreme organ of Student Welfare in Oslo and Akershus, and any major changes in the SiO must be made by a decision of the Board.

Because SiO is a statutory company’s Executive Board personally financially responsible for SiO and the choices they make. Serving on the Executive Board is the most heavy responsibility enlisted in the Welfare Council and the Student Association, and should not be taken lightly. All members of the Executive Board receive good training and supervision.

The members of the Executive Board constitutes itself and benefits student representation on SiO different divisions / subsidiaries. As this is separate subsidiaries is important for good student representation in the Urban Residential Rental, Housing Board and Board Café. There will be elected two student representatives for two years and out of the student directors there is elected a chairman.

Urban residential rental

This is a subsidiary that has the objective to develop, manage and lease residential and commercial properties in the commercial market. The long term goal is to help improve the welfare of students in Oslo and Akershus. For this board there is elected a student representative from the Welfare Council, and this representative is sitting for two years. We are now electing a representative for two years.

Housing Board

The Board is responsible for finance and the long-term strategy in SiO Housing. This is an important part of Studentsamskipsnaden in Oslo and Akershus because student housing is one of the major components of a student’s welfare. There is now two student representative and is elected from student welfare councile. We are now electing a representative for two years.

Control Committee

The Audit Committee shall ensure that the committee and Welfare Council follows the adopted laws and regulations during the period. The Supervisory Committee is invited to comment on matters relating to the formalities etc, and will include propose approval of the nomination of representatives to the Welfare Council of the local student democracies. The Supervisory Committee considers issues relating to impartiality and interpretation to the issues related to laws and regulations. They also recommends approval of the Welfare accounts. The Committee consists of three members who is elected at this meeting.

Culture Chairman

Culture Chairman shall, among other things; convene meetings of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the Culture Board Secretariat develop settings to all applications, prepare notes and resolutions proposed at the meetings regarding current issues and matters the Board of Culture want to follow up, act as Culture Board contact the media, educational institutions, SiO, Welfare Council and others, have regular contact with the Welfare Working Committee and be responsible for the daily contact with the Secretariat and monitoring of Cultural Affairs.

Members of the Cultural x4

The board of culture processes applications for funding from different student associations throughout SiO. They part out nearly three million for student media, associations and events. The board of culture affairs has around 10 meetings a year, including a seminar at the beginning of the period. Sitting for Cultural Affairs provides insight into the association operating at many levels, from tiny clubs to huge social media and sports clubs. We are now electeding four members to the Cultural Affairs as well as the Culture Chair. (above) These are elected for two years. We are also electing reserves for the board members.
